Owl invasion!

Meet the three newest additions to our home.
My mom and I found the wooden forms for this set of owls on our
quilting trip last fall.  I worked on them this past weekend, and I love how they turned out.
My dear husband has been busy making more for me...can't wait to try
different color combinations!

Last Fall, I started with a blank wall and added a collage of
fabric covered canvases.  I liked it, but it looked a bit bare to me.
Finally, I was able to spend a bit of time this afternoon
adding some photos and embellishments.
It's likely not done yet, but I love how it looks now.

Colorful Coasters

{Side One}
A very dear friend celebrates her birthday today.
She was also one of the first to become a "friend" on this blog.
I still owe her a birthday present (I promise you'll get one eventually!), but I went ahead and whipped up some colorful coasters for friending the blog.
These were made with part of a charm pack.  They have a thin layer of batting
in between the coordinating fabrics.  This is a very easy and quick
gift idea...and always very useful!
