Bridal Shower Kitchen Set

Bridal and baby showers are a perfect excuse to try out a new project idea.
(Yeah, I know.  We don't really need an excuse, right?)

I don't know about you, but the towel that I must have hanging on my oven door almost always slides down to the floor.  I've seen the "stay put" towels made with just the velcro, but I think that those are a bit plain.  I decided to add a ruffle to mine, and I love how it turned out.
I'm pretty sure I'll be making more of these, including one for my own oven!
I also made a dish drying mat, with a backing made of terry cloth.

Last, I copied a friend's pattern for potholders.  They are very easy, and it was quite refreshing to
quilt and bind something that was so small!  :)

  2. I love your kitchen set! Kitchen items are usually so quick to make, too. I love to give them as gifts. In fact, my friend called yesterday to tell me that her mom wants to hire me to make some things for a wedding gift. I love those dishmats, too! I made some as Christmas gifts and was delighted to see them in use when I next visited my family.
