Embellished Nook Cover

I {love} to read!
If you were to peak into our living room every evening at 10:30, you'd find me sitting
in my favorite rocking chair, reading a book.  When the e-readers first came out, I was pretty adamant that I'd never own one.  I thought I'd always prefer to have the real thing in my hands.
Flash forward to just last week.  A family trip was planned, and I gathered three large hardback books (one for me, my husband, and my son) to fit somewhere in our bags.  I thought of the e-reader...the convenience of them.  I took a trip to Barnes and Noble andtried out the new touch e-reader.  Hmmmm....I  just might be able to handle one of these!
I came home, told my husband about it (he loves electronics!), and he told me to go back and pick one out for an early birthday present.  Since then, I've loved it!  I got a brick red cover to
protect it...but it was a bit boring.  However heard of a blank book cover!
Last night, I pulled out my Stampin' Up! rub-ons and, within just a few minutes, personalized my Nook cover.  I highly recommend the Stampin' Up! brand.  They are very easy to apply and are very hard to get off!  So, make sure you've got them where you want them, apply and enjoy!

  1. Cute! I've been thinking about sewing a kind of stretchy cover for mine, but the rub-on idea rocks! I love my Nook! If I could call people on it, I'd never get off it!

  2. hello again, Miss KatieB!

I can't figure out a way to email, so I'll just leave a comment here. I know you like to sew so I thought I would share with you a sewing event that I'm co-hosting. We're calling it the "Retro Pillow Challenge!" and you can find out more info at http://www.sewlavie.com/p/welcome-to-retro-pillow-challenge.html
In a nutshell, all the participants work on the same sewing project individually and share our results. If you can't participate, I hope you'll check in once in a while and visit!
